Mom’s Rum Cake

Mom’s Rum Cake

1/2 c. vegetable oil                              4 eggs
1/2 cup rum                                       1 pkg. yellow butter cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding          1/2 c. water
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Grease and flour a bundt pna.  Combine all ingredients except nut, and beat for4 minutes on medium speed.  Sprinkle nuts in the bottom of the pan.  Pour batter into pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes.  Poke hoels in cake while in pan, and while still warm.  Pour glaze over cake while still hot.  Cool in pan for 30 minutes before turning out.

Glaze:

1 cup sugar                 1/4 c. rum
1/2 c.butter                 1/4 c.water

Boil for 2-3 minutes.  Pour over warm cake.
